A discovery made (1961) by a local fisherman named Rudesindo Cantarell, who would give his last name to the finding, would become (1972) the biggest Oilfield in the world at the time. It is until 1979 that Reparaciones Diesel ventured into the Oil and Gas sector serving Offshore Support Vessels at the service of PEMEX. 

 

Later, Rediesa begins to provide services of installation and maintenance to Offshore Oil Rig Fire-Fighting Systems, reaching and serving more than 10 Offshore platforms simultaneously. This sole activity involves the purchase of specialized equipment, tools, lathes, milling machines, the development of our metal-mechanic workshop and a learning curve in logistics experience.

Given the excellent results, the Rediesa was entrusted new activities as the supply and repair of electric diesel-powered generators, control panels, torsion converters, electric motors, among others. After that, it was clear to REDIESA that diversification and integration of activities would be key to success, encouraging the venture into other business lines giving birth to GEMA.

 

Currently, the Group serves a wide range of needs of clients (Private and State-Owned) of the Oil and Gas Industry and in other industries, from water treatment requirements, tank cleaning technology, and titanium plate heat exchanger cooling systems; structural cutting and welding,  in-container laboratories and habitational containers; non-destructive testing, risk assessment and asset integrity management; to lodging and real-estate services; among others.
